4.1.1 & 4.1.2 crashing on iOS

We are aware of an issue with version 4.1.1 & 4.1.2 crashing on iOS. A fix has been released. Please visit the AppStore and update to version 4.1.3. We apologize for any inconvenience and have taken steps to make sure issues like this do not occur in the future.

App crashing after prolonged use (MacOS/iOS)

Prolonged use of our app has been found to cause memory depletion. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused, and we are pleased to let you know that a fix is on the way in version 4.1.0. Our team has been working to optimize memory management so that you can continue to study without interruptions. We apologize for any frustration and appreciate your patience.

In the mean time, if you find this is interrupting your studying session, please try the following:

  • Use the Table of Contents to navigate to the section you are studying. This will minimize the amount of memory used by the app as flipping pages one by one can cause memory depletion.

A book is not present in the library after purchasing it (MacOS)

If you have made a book purchase but cannot see the book in your library while running Groundschool Anywhere on MacOS, this is an operating system issue with early versions of Montery (~MacOS 13), confirmed by Apple. This can be fixed by updating your operating system to the latest version of MacOS Montery (at least 13.3.1).

Groundschool Anywhere Crashes when opening quiz

If Grounschool Anywhere is crashing when you are opening specific quizzes it could be due to the following:

  • For each years release we run tests over the whole quiz to make sure none of the questions have errors, but sometimes a question slips through. Please contact us to let us know which question has the error and we will release a fix as soon as possible.
  • If you have owned a previous year's book and this is your second book, there could be data issues with the underlying quiz. This is an issue we became aware of after updating Groundschool Anywhere from 2.x.x to 3.x.x. Please try the following to resolve your issue:
    1. Reset the quiz, using "Reset Quizzes" in the top right hand corner of the quiz menu.
    2. If that does not work, please reinstall Groundschool Anywhere. This will reset all the local data for the app. We realize this is not the most robust solution and apologize for any inconvenience. We have a fix in the works for version 3.4.0 to be released end of year 2021.
